Batangas PNP collars 5 ‘drug peddlers’ in buy-bust
CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas — Five suspected drug peddlers were arrested in various buy-bust operations in the province by operatives of the Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) on February 24, provincial police PIO chief Police Lieutenant Pauline P. Fernando said.
A report by Batangas police director Col Pedro D. Soliba to P/Brig. Gen. Jose Melecio C. Nartatez, Jr., Regional Director, PRO-CALABARZON (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) said one alias Tyago, 45, of Tanauan City, Batangas was the first to be arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.
Some 0.14 grams of suspected shabu worth P966 and P500 marked money were recovered from the suspect.
During a buy-bust operation by Batangas City police led by top cop Lt. Col. Dwight F. Fonte, Jr., authorities collared the suspect identified only as alias Walog,
25, a resident of the said city at 9:42 p.m.
Police seized 0.22 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,518 and P500 marked pmoney.
Fonte added that In another buy-bust conducted at 2:35 a.m. February 25, a suspect identified as alias Buaya, 40, was arrested. Seized from him were .10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P690 and marked money.
Two suspects identified as alias Jerwin, 21, and alias Ronnie, 23, both from Calamba City, Laguna, were arrested in a buy-bust in Sto Tomas City, Batangas at 1:55 a.m. on Saturday, February 25.
Seized from them were 1.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P12,500 and the buy-bust money.
“According to the implemented BIDA (Buhay Ingatan Droga’y Ayawan) Program of our government, we will eliminate illegal drugs and all illegal activities. Let’s fight and suppress it together so it doesn’t ruin lives and cause crime. Let’s live and realize true order, peace, and prosperity,” Soliba said.
