CHIEF Justice Alexander Gesmundo has affirmed the value of court clerks from all levels of the judiciary, saying every employee is important, regardless of their position or level.

Speaking at the 13th National Convention of the Judicial Court Clerks Association of the Philippines, Inc. (JCCAP), Gesmundo emphasized the importance of trial court employees and their crucial role in the administration of justice.

He highlighted that trial court employees are often the first point of contact for individuals transacting with the courts regarding their cases, and therefore must reflect the kind of judicial service that the Supreme Court wants to provide.

Gesmundo also emphasized the importance of the SC Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022-2027 (SPJI), which aims to review and assess the organizational structure and operations of various offices within the judiciary.

He assured the JCCAP that the implementation of reforms within the judiciary will benefit all employees and empower them to work more effectively.

The JCCAP, which represents 3,966 judiciary clerks from all judicial regions nationwide, was formerly known as the Judiciary Association of Clerks of the Philippines (JACOPHIL). The convention was held on February 23, 2023, at the Grand Astoria Hotel in Zamboanga City.
