Vintage bomb found in Ecija backyard
STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija — A housewife overseeing the construction of s swimming pool inside her family’s house sought immediate police help after a vintage bomb was found in her backyard in this town on Monday.
Police head Maj. Sandy C. Bautista said he got a call from Maria Teodora Dela Cruz, of Bgy. Pulong Buli, asking assistance after a vintage bomb was dug up by construction men at 11:20 a.m. on Monday.
Bautista immediately dispatched a police bomb disposal team from the Nueva Ecija Provincial Canine and Explosives Unit to secure the area and dispose off the bomb.
