SPD’s 7th warrant day haul 80 wanted persons

EIGHTY wanted persons in Metro Manila were arrested by agents of the Southern Police District as a result of the 7th Warrant Day last Friday, a report to National Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said yesterday.

SPD director, Brigadier Gen. Mark D. Pespes said the wanted criminals were apprehended amid their continuing pursuit of justice and maintenance of peace and order in the southern part of the metropolis.

The official said that 13 of the suspects apprehended were classified as Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWPs) while 30 were known as Most Wanted Persons or MWPs.

The remaining 37 were classified as Other Wanted Persons or OWPs.

Of the TMWPs arrested, three were each caught by the Taguig City, Pasay City and Parañque City Police Stations. The Las Piñas CPS accounted for four targets.

The Makati and Taguig CPS likewise apprehended two MWPs each while the Pateros police caught one target. The Pasay City police force accounted for eight MWPs while the Muntinlupa MPS hauled 13 others to jail.

On the other hand, the Las Piñas CPS caught two MWPs while the Parañaque CPS and the SPD District Special Operations Unit apprehended one MWP each.

Brig. Gen. Pespes said the OWPs arrested include six each in Makati and Pasay, three in Taguig, one in Pateros, seven in Muntinlupa, eight in Las Piñas and five in Parañaque City.

The SPD District Mobile Force Battalion also accounted for one OWP.
