A SEAMAN from Negros Occidental, one of the two winners of the P74 million jackpot in 6/45 Mega Lotto draw last February 1, 2023, claimed his prize at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at the Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City recently.

The lucky winner claim half of the P73,481,247.20 jackpot prize he won with a winning combination of 37–29–42–21–27–05.

He has been an avid patron of the Lotto games since 2003, and according to him, he got his winning number combination “mimicking” a Bingo game.

The winner added, he plans to put up his own business in Negros Occidental and to save part of his winnings in a bank for the future of his family, “Gusto ko po palakihin yung aking maliit na sari-sari store at magtayo ng sarili kong business sa probinsya tapos ilalagay ko sa bangko yung matitira para sa pamilya ko. Mahirap po maging mahirap,” he uttered with teary eyes.

On the same day, a 62-year-old retired government employee from the province of Isabela claimed the jackpot prize of P5,940,000 he won from the Lotto 6/42 draw last February 2, 2023.

The lucky winner bought his ticket in a lotto outlet in Tumauini, Isabela, and picked his winning number combination 02–27–16–29–04–19 from the birthdates of his parents and children.

All prizes above P10,000 are subject to a 20% final tax under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law.

Also, PCSO reminds the public that all winning tickets should be claimed within one year from the draw date; otherwise, they will be forfeited to form part of the PCSO Charity Fund in accordance with the PCSO Charter (RA 1169).
