HOUSE Majority Leader Martin G. Romualdez of Leyte and Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez thanked Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo for his “kind heart” in serving God and the country with great passion and “malasakit” (compassion)

The Romualdez couple also wished Manalo more years as he celebrated his 66th birthday Sunday.

“We join the nation in extending our warmest greetings to you, Ka Eduardo Manalo, on the joyful celebration of your 66th birth anniversary this year. Nagpapasalamat kami sa Panginoon sa mahabang buhay na ibinibigay niya sa inyo. We are thankful, too, that He has continued to bless you with strength of will and exemplary character through the years. All these blessings you put to good use in steering Iglesia ni Cristo to greater heights, and in service of our less fortunate brothers and sisters,” the Romualdez couple said.

“Patuloy ang aming panalangin, Ka Eduardo. May the Lord pour in his blessings of good health to you and your loved ones. May He keep you safe and strong at all times. We pray that He continue helping you shepherd your flock on the road to salvation,” they said.

The Romualdez couple credited Bro. Eduardo Manalo for the good character formation of the Filipinos, especially the youth.

“We personally wish to extend to you, Ka Eduardo, our sincere appreciation for all the good work you have done for the good of the Filipino nation. You have shown us that one is justified by works and not by faith alone. You made us realize that for one to be a true believer in Christ, life should give evidence,” they said.

They wished the continued success of the INC leader in the fulfillment of his aspirations for the Filipinos as one of the country’s moral compasses.

“On your birthday, we also wish the Iglesia ni Cristo all the best as you propagate the faith in every part of the globe. May the Lord continue to bless your efforts in spreading the good news of salvation and in living a life of good deed. Maraming salamat po sa serbisyo. Maraming salamat po sa malasakit,” they said.

They recalled anew that Bro. Eduardo Manalo has been helping less fortunate people through INC’s spiritual programs, and “malasakit” (compassionate) livelihood and assistance programs.

“Saksi po kami sa mga kabutihang ipinadama ninyo Ka Eduardo, sa ating mga kapatid na Filipino. Naging matibay na gabay po kayo para akayin sa kabutihan ang mga kapwa natin saan mang panig ng mundo,” the Romualdez couple said.

“On this day, let us also express our deepest appreciation to all the contributions that you have made to improve the living conditions of our people. For all your efforts, may your name be forever exalted.
