QCPD forms group to probe photog’s shooting
QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) director Police B/GEN Nicolas Torre III has reported that the QCPD has formed a special investigation task group (SITG) to conduct a thorough investigation into the shooting incident of the Abiad Family.
The victims were on their way home at about 3:50 p.m. on June 29, 2023 when they were attacked by two gunmen along Corumi St., corner Gazan St., Brgy. Masambong, Quezon City.
According to Torre, the SITG “ABIAD” will be led by P/Col. Melecio M. Buslig Jr., QCPD Deputy District Director for Operations (DDDO).
Continuous backtracking of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footages is now being done by the joint efforts of QCPD operatives.
SITG “ABIAD” will take into account all relevant information to ascertain the reason behind the shooting. “We will not stop pursuing the culprit and we will make sure that the victims get justice,” PBGEN Torre III said.
