Cavite BSKE bets stage unity walk, peace covenant signing

BSKE1IMUS CITY, Cavite – More than 3,000 candidates in the 97 barangays in this city gathered at the Imus City Grandstand in Bgy. Malagasang 1-G yesterday for a covenant signing for a peaceful Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on October 30.

Cavite provincial election supervisor attorney Mico Morales-Castro, Cavite Provincial Police Office chief Lt. Col. Leuterio Ricardo Jr., and Imus City PNP OIC Lt. Col. Jack Angog led the Unity Walk, Inter-Faith Rally and Peace Covenant Signing for a peaceful BSKE 2023.

According to Ricardo, a Unity Walk and Peace Covenant signing were simultaneously held in the eight cities and 15 towns of the province of Cavite.

Morales- Castro encouraged all candidates to make the campaign period peaceful.

“Like what I said, you don’t need to destroy your fellow candidates or pay voters just to get votes, if people really like you, they will vote for you,” he said.

“Cavite Comelec and PNP are now in close monitoring and we are very glad that the entire province in still under the Green Code, meaning very peaceful po ang Cavite,” said Morales-Castro.

“All systems go na for October 30 BSKE, the candidates have 10 days to campaign in their respective areas from October 19 to 28, 2023,” he added.
