52-year-old woman nabbed in Cavite drug buy-bust
CAMP BGEN. VICENTE LIM – Members of the Drug Enforcement Unit early yesterday morning arrested a 52-year-old woman following the confiscation of shabu worth P727,600 in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. San Lorenzo 2, Dasmariñas City,Cavite.
Nabbed was alias “Boba,” a “high-value” individual, and a resident of the village.
The suspect was arrested at 4:30 a.m. yesterday by operatives of the Dasmariñas City Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Seized from the suspect were two heat-sealed plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 107 grams valued at P727,600, and the buy-bust money.
Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas lauded the successful anti-drug operation.
“I am incredibly grateful of the courageous and diligent operatives who consistently carry out their duties in our anti-illegal drug operations to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in Dasmariñas and its surrounding towns and cities. Patuloy ang ating pakikipagtulungan sa ating komunidad at iba pang ahensiya ng ating gobyerno upang tuldukan na ang kalakalan sa illegal na droga dito sa rehiyon,” Lucas said.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence are under the custody of the Dasmariñas police for processing and documentation prior to the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2022.
