Teenager chokes rider to death, dumps body in ravine

CAMP GENERAL MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Police arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly choking to death a motorcycle rider and dumping his body in a ravine in Bgy. Del Pilar, San Pascual, Batangas.

According to the report of Batangas Police Provincial Director Col. Samson Belgica Belmonte to Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) Director Brig. Gen. Carlito M. Gaces, the victim was Jake Pamudulan, 28, a resident of Bgy. Sambat, San Pascual, Batangas.

The name of the suspect was withheld for being a minor.

Prior to the discovery of the victim’s body, Juven, the victim’s elder brother and a resident of Bgy. Sta. Rita Karsada, Batangas City, personally appeared to the San Pascual town police and reported the alleged disappearance of Jake on the night of August 3.

Police immediately conducted an investigation.

On Saturday, lawmen arrested the young suspect in Bgy. Pook ni Banal after he was spotted using the victim’s motorcycle.

During an investigation in the presence of his father, the young suspect admitted that he killed Jake by strangling him with his bare hands at around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 then dumped his body in the ravine.

The young suspect pointed to the police the place where he dumped the victim’s body.

An investigation is ongoing on the motive for the killing.
