Alien, Pinoy cohort held for P400K shabu

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A British national and his Filipino cohort on Sunday yielded more than P400K worth of shabu in an entrapment in Pampanga.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said arrested were British national Philip Joseph, 53, and Duane Manuel Bariso, 45, both residents of Angeles City.

The duo were arrested around 3:37 p.m. on Sunday in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the San Fernando City police, Pampanga 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in Bgy. Baliti, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Seized from the suspects were 12 plastic sachets of shabu weighing more or less 65 grams and with an estimated value of P442,000, the marked money, a pouch, one cellphone, and a Sedan car with plate no. WHT 366.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“Continuous operations are being carried out as PRO3 strengthens its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs to achieve a drug-free Central Luzon,” Hidalgo said.
