PRO-1 agents seize P5M shabu
NEARLY P5 million worth of shabu were seized from 14 target drug personalities in the Ilocos-Pangasinan region, Police Regional Office (PRO)-1 director P/Brig. Gen. Lou Evangelista said Sunday.
Three of the suspects yielded P342,000 worth of shabu last Thursday, the official said in a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil.
He said one the three, alias Pyon, 47, yielded P30,000 worth of shabu and dried marijuana leaves.
Two others, a 39-year-old construction worker and a 45-year-old fish vendor from Dagupan City in Pangasinan, were arrested in a buy-bust in Mangaldan on the same day.
Recovered during the sting were 45 grams of shabu valued at P306,000 and the buy-bust money.
Two other suspects, alias Dodo, 58; and Jose, 52, were arrested in a sting in Brgy. Tombor in Binmaley, Pangasinan last Monday.
Recovered from the duo were 2,010 grams of shabu valued at around P1.427 million.
Another buy-bust in Brgy. Caranglan, Dagupan City, Pangasinan last Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect after he sold 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000 to an undercover officer.
A 4th suspect, a 56-year-old real estate agent, was arrested in a buy bust in Brgy. Capangdanan, Pinili, Ilocos Norte last Thursday.
Another sting in Brgy. Papagueyan, Binmaley, Pangasinan led in the arrest of a 48-year-old male after he sold some 65 grams of shabu worth P442,000.
