CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Baliwag City Police on Monday arrested two suspects for alleged robbery-extortion and swindling in Barangay Bagong Nayon, Baliwag City, Bulacan.

In a report to Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 Director Brigadier Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, Bulacan Police Director Col. Relly Arnedo said the entrapment was conducted in a fast food restaurant in Baliwag City, which resulted in the arrest of a female teacher, of Malipampang, San Ildefonso; and her male cohort, of Malamig, Bustos after they received the marked money from the victim.

Based on the initial transaction on July 8, 2022, a sum of P503,000 was received by the suspects as payment to facilitate and expedite the transaction for the transfer of land title acquired by the victim.

The victim said the suspects failed to complete the transfer because the documents they provided from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) were allegedly fabricated.

When the victim sought police assistance, the suspects demanded from the victim an additional P500,000 in exchange for the immediate transfer of land title.

The Baliwag Police launched an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of the two suspects, who will be charged with swindling/estafa, robbery extortion, and falsification of public documents.

Pasiwen said the Bulacan Police continue all its efforts to bring before the bars of justice scrupulous individuals who take advantage of innocent and vulnerable civilians.
