PNP-DEG cops arrest 5 drug suspects
PHILIPPINE National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) agents arrested five drug personalities in separate buy-busts and confiscated nearly P600,000 worth of shabu, PDEG director Colonel Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr. said on Saturday.
Three of the suspects, Eduardo Pelaez, 62; Isa Adap, 55; and Marlon Alavera, 47, were arrested in a sting in Las Piñas City.
The entrapment operation around 11 a.m. last Wednesday resulted in the recovery of an estimated 28 grams of shabu valued at P190,400.
The 4th suspect, Edward Laforga Sr., 55, was arrested in Cagayan last Monday. He yielded seven grams of shabu worth P47,600, the buy-bust money and a rifle grenade.
The 5th suspect, Marjorie Chan, 26, was arrested in an entrapment in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on the same day. Col.
The accused was arrested with 55 grams of shabu valued at P357,500.
She also yielded the buy-bust money topped by a marked P1,000 bill and a mobile phone she used in making contact with the poseur.
