P3M shabu seized from 7 ‘peddlers’ in Taguig
ELEMENTS of the District Drug Enforcement Unit of the Southern Police District (DDEU-SPD) busted seven drug peddlers identified as high value individuals (HVI) and consfiscated more than P3 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation Saturday evening in Taguig City.
SPD Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested drug personalities as Abdul Wahid Solaiman, 41, Fahad Salik Solaiman, 18, both residing at Mindanao Avenue, Brgy. Maharlika, Buhari Komatig Malaguia, 35 of IRM Barangay Maharlika, Bong Pagayao Mangelen, 35, Benji Guinadal Maitum, 27, Badrudin Talusan Dalgan, 41 and Noel Emad Kalim, 50, all residing at Sitio Imelda St. Brgy. Upper Bicutan.
Macaraeg said the arrest of the suspects was the result of a drug sting conducted at around 8:30 p.m. by joint elements of DDEU led by P/Maj. Cecilio Tomas, Jr., District Intelligence Division (DID) and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) under the supervision of P/Maj. Renante Galang at Block 124 Lot 12 Sitio Imelda Street, Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.
Police recovered from the suspects 10 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 500 grams with estimated standard drug price of ₱ 3, 400,000.00, marked money consisting of ₱1,000.00 genuine bill placed on top of 40 pieces of ₱ 1,000.00 boodle money, a digital weighing scale and a red Nissan Urvan with plate number XRU 900.
The arrested suspects were brought to the SPD-DDEU Office for proper disposition pending their presentation for inquest proceedings before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 under Art II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
“Ang pagkahuli ng mga itinuturing na HVI at pagkakumpiska ng milyon-milyong shabu ay nagpapakita lamang ng dedikasyon ng ating mga kapulisan bilang aming hakbang sa ating mahigpit na kampanya sa ilegal na droga. Binabati ko kayo sa isang magandang accomplisment na ito. Ito ay malaking tulong dahil napigilan natin na ito ay makarating pa sa mga pagbebentahan. Hindi rin kami titigil sa aming kampanya bagkus ay sisipagan pa upang nang sa gayon ay matugis pa kung sino man ang mga taong bahagi ng ilegal na pagbenta at suplay nito,” Macaraeg said.
