Notorious siblings killed in Cavite gunfight

TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite – Two brothers accused of shooting dead two people in Naic town on Sunday were killed in an encounter with the authorities in Bgy Kaybagal Central , this city.

Acting city police chief Lt. Col. Noel Calapitia said slain were suspects Denmark Delara Consumo and Ariel Delara Consumo, both residents of Bgy. Halang, Naic, Cavite.

Cpl. Braiann Balani said they received a tip from concerned citizens that the two brothers were spotted with their relatives in a village in the upland Tagaytay.

The suspects went into hiding after allegedly killing Richard Elleran, of Bronze Village 2, Bgy. Halang, Naic last October 14.

The Consumos were also responsible in the shooting dead of another victim in Belmont Subdivision in Bgy. Halang last April.

Acting on the information, combined forces of the Naic police led by Lt. Col. Resty Soriano, Police Mobile Force Company headed by Lt. Col. Alladin Tamayo, force commander, and the Tagaytay City Police Office conducted an operation against the suspects at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Instead of surrendering, the suspects pulled out a gun and shot at the approaching lawmen that triggered a firefight.

Seized at the clash site were the suspects’ guns.
