POLICE Regional Office 4-B director Brig. Gen. Joel B. Doria yesterday ordered all Mimaropa police units to further intensify their campaign against e-Sabong activities in the region.

The PRO4-B director said the war against the banned online cockfighting games will be conducted all over the provinces of Mindoro Oriental, Mindoro Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan (MIMAROPA).

Doria issued the declaration following the order of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” C. Abalos Jr. to ensure that all e-sabong in the country will not be given the opportunity to operate.

“We are affirming our unwavering commitment to eradicate this illicit activity across the region and are leaving no stone unturned in our effort to ensure that MIMAROPA will be e-Sabong-free,” Doria said.

The official said that he is implementing a “one-strike policy” that holds unit commanders fully accountable for eradicating the banned games in their areas of responsibility.

“We will not tolerate commanders who fail to prevent or address e-sabong activities within their jurisdictions. Immediate and decisive action will be taken, leaving no room for compromise or leniency,” he warned.

“Our objective is not simply to suppress e-Sabong, but to completely eradicate it. The one-strike policy serves as a powerful reminder of the duty our unit commanders bear. Under their watch, there will be no tolerance for those who allow this illegal activity to thrive,” the MIMAROPA police director added.
