Local airlines cancel 96 domestic flights due to Odette
PHILIPPINE Airlines [PAL], Cebu Pacific Airlines [CEB], AirAsia Philippines and Air Swift canceled 96 domestic flights Friday due to Super Typhoon Odette.
The local carriers cancelled flights from Manila to Iloilo, Cebu, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa, Busuanga, Dipolog, Caticlan, Cagayan, Camiguin, Bohol, Tagbilaran, El Nido and its turn-around flights bringing to a total of 49 canceled arrivals and 47 departures.
PAL also canceled their Los Angeles USA flight to Cebu PR 153 last Thursday [16 Dec 2021] after the weather experts of PAGASA raise to Signal 4 of strong winds and rains brought by ST Odette.
Affected passengers have options to convert the ticket to travel credits equivalent to unused base fare for one year or rebook tickets to another flight or refund ticket without penalties.
According to Manila International Airport Authority [MIAA] general manager Eddie V. Monreal, the cancellation was issued for the safety of all incoming and arriving passengers.
