INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Department of Energy na bilisan ang implementasyon ng mga plano at istratehiya sa pag-develop ng e-vehicle sa bansa.

Ayon kay Malacanang press briefer Daphne Osena-Paez, ginawa ni Pangulong Marcos ang utos nang pulungin ang mga opisyal ng Department of Energy, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry at iba pang ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Partikular na pinatutukan ni Pangulong Marcos ang paggamit ng e-vehicle sa public transportation sector.

“President Marcos has instructed the concerned agencies to work together to study the integration of the e-vehicle industry so that we can strengthen the local manufacturing of electric vehicles and supporting battery charging mechanisms,” pahayag ni Osena-Paez.

“This is of course in order to encourage the electrification of the public transportation sector,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Inutusan din ni Pangulong Marcos si Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla na tutukan at suportahan ang acquisition ng electric vehicles sa pamamagitan ng commercial fleets gaya ng government o private company cars at public transportation fleets. \

“In order to support the adoption of the EVs, President Marcos also ordered the consolidation of financial schemes to make it easier for EV fleets to be acquired,” dagdag pa nito.
