6 ‘druggies’ fall in Talavera

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – Six suspected shabu peddlers were apprehended during separate buy-bust operations conducted in this town on Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Town police head Lt. Col. Jackyll I. Bilibli said two of those nabbed were caught in Bgy. Pagasa at 7:40 p.m. after selling a P1,000-worth of shabu to a police poseur buyer.

Also seized from the two suspects, identified as Percival Dela Peña, 38, alias “Tubal”, vendor, and Francis Angeles, 37, farmer, were eight plastic sachets of shabu.

In the other sting operation, nabbed were Patrick Jamillarin, 25, of Bgy. Pagasa; Vic Villanueva, 42, of Bgy. Bakero, Cabanatuan City; Joan Piad, 29, of Bgy. Mayapyap; and Marlyn Magno, 38, of Bgy. of Bgy. Pinagpanaan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija.

Police arrested them in Bgy. La Torre at 1:00 a.m. following a buy-bust and seized from the suspects were 15 plastic sachets of shabu and the P1,000 buy-bust money.

Bilibli said charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being readied for filing against them before the inquest prosecutor in Cabanatuan City.  By Steve A. Gosuico
