Village chief gunned down  in San Fernando City

POLICE Regional Office (PRO) 3 Director Brigadier Gen. Cesar Pasiwen strongly condemned the killing of a barangay chairman in San Fernando City, Pampanga, on Tuesday.

Pasiwen said the 63-year-old barangay captain of Sto. Rosario, in San Fernando City, was walking on Abad Santos Street near the city market plaza when a man suddenly appeared and shot him in the head, resulting in his instantaneous death.

“I have ordered an in-depth probe on this incident, and we are looking into all angles to establish possible motives,” Pasiwen said.

“We are exerting all means to get to the bottom of this unfortunate incident, and we are now in the process of gathering pieces of evidence that will lead us to the identification of the culprit,” Pasiwen added.

The CL top cop offered condolences and assured the victim’s family that justice will be served.

Pasiwen urged witnesses to the crime to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
