Two communists arrested in Laguna hideout
The Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police arrested two communist terrorists charged with kidnapping, serious illegal detention and rebellion during the serving of their warrants of arrest in their hideout on Friday afternoon in Bgy. San Diego, San Pablo City, Laguna.
202nd Brigade Commander BGen. Alex Rillera said the combined 202 Brigade, 22 MICO, 1 IB, 21 MICO, Provincial Intelligence Unit of Laguna and San Pablo police conducted the operation Target Packet “SAIS” which resulted in the arrest of Christian Relao and Danna Mae Marcellana.
They were arrested at 1 p.m. by the strength of two warrants of arrest for the criminal case for violation of Art. 267 (Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention) from the Regional Trial Court Branch 63 Calauag, Quezon issued by Presiding Judge Manuel Salumbides, and criminal case for the crime of rebellion under Executive Judge Arnelo Mesa of Branch 65 Infanta, Quezon.
They will undergo medical tests in a hospital in San Pablo City before being locked up jail.
No firearms were recovered from the two suspects during their arrest.
