Transgender, partner face raps for death of boy, 8

A MALE transgender and his partner are facing murder, child abuse and direct assault charges for the death of the former’s eight-year-old nephew.

The suspects are a transgender, 30, hairdresser and his alleged partner, 30, both residents of Gladiolous Street, Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City. They are now detained at the Holy Spirit Police Station.

Investigation conducted by the Holy Spirit Police Station showed the victim was a nephew of the transgender.

The victim, along with his two other siblings aged 10 and 7 years old were left by their mother who is working overseas under the care of Manaligod.

Investigation showed the victim was declared dead upon arrival on November 14, 2022 at the V. Luna Medical Center due to traumatic injuries sustained based on his medical reports. Prior to his confinement, he was brought to the hospital allegedly by the suspects on the evening of November 8, 2022, who supposedly claimed the injuries and bruises were caused by an accident.

Further, investigation showed that on or about 5:30 p.m. of November 8, 2022, Capuchino allegedly beat the boy and slammed the victim’s head to the wall, causing him to fall unconscious to the floor while spewing blood.

The suspects rushed the victim at FEU Hospital and later transferred him to the V. Luna Medical Center.

At about 1:50 a.m. of November 17, 2022, operatives of the said police station received a call from a concerned citizen regarding the whereabouts of the suspects.

Responding policemen caught the suspects while allegedly on their way to escape.
