Top Bicol drug trafficker falls
POLICE Regional Office 5 director Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo yesterday announced the arrest of a top drug personality in Bicol region during a buy-bust operation in Naga City.
The official identified the suspect as Sabas Nacario, a 37-year-old vendor from Zone 2, San Ramon St., Bgy. Calauag, Naga City.
In a report to Philippine National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos, the Bicol police director said that local policemen seized three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing P5,500 worth of shabu and the P4,500 worth of boodle money topped by a marked P500 bill from the suspect.
Locked up at the Naga City police jail, the suspect is facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Estomo.
