SACLEO nets 172 law offenders in Quezon

LUCENA CITY– The Quezon Police Provincial Office’s three-day Simultaneous Anti- Criminality Law Enforcement Operations arrested 172 law violators in the province.

Quezon provincial director Col. Joel Villanueva said the conduct of anti- criminality operations were in consonance with the directive of Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz.

Of the total number, Villanueva said 56 were arrested for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A.9165). Seized were 45.61 grams of shabu and three grams of marijuana worth ?310,500.

Villanueva said the other 56 are wanted felons, including 18 who are listed as Most Wanted Persons in Calabarzon region.

Two persons were arrested for illegal possession of firearms.

On anti-illegal gambling operations, Villanueva said 58 persons were accosted following the confiscation of ?5,881.00 in bet money.

Meanwhile, 8,574 individuals were issued violation tickets during the implementation of Community Quarantine Protocols.
