THE RP–Mission Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) has released the Davao Region’s top performing district representatives.

Rep. Paolo Duterte of Davao City’s 1st District has remained the top performer after garnering a rating of 84.7 percent.

This reflects a notable 3.4 percent increase from the 81.3 percent he received in RPMD’s April 2023 survey.

Joining him in the top spot is Davao De Oro 1st District Rep. Maria Carmen Zamora with 85.2 percent, also an improvement from her rating in the April 2023 survey, when she got 80.5 percent.

According to the RPMD, the survey results were based on the nationwide assessment of its Boses ng Bayan initiative’s findings on the performance of public officials.

Duterte welcomed the latest survey results and thanked his fellow Dabawenyos for their endless support for him and Davao City.

He vowed to continue implementing more community-based projects to bring the government’s services closer to the people, and provide assistance to those in need.

Davao City’s 3rd District Rep. Isidro Ungab secured the second spot in the survey with 79.4 percent, representing a 1.8 percent rise from his previous rating.

Rep. Claude Bautista of Davao Occidental followed with 78.6 percent, which is a 5.1 percent improvement from his April 2023 standing; while Rep. Cheeno Miguel Almario of Davao Oriental’s 2nd District got 74.15 percent.

Davao del Norte 1st District Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez and Davao City 2nd District Rep. Vincent Garcia were tied for the fourth spot with a rating each of 71.7 percent.

Davao del Sur Rep. John Tracy Cagas received a rating of 68.4 percent, and Davao De Oro 2nd District Rep. Ruwel Peter Gonzaga scored 68.2 percent.

Despite a 1.5 percent decrease, Rep. Nelson Dayanghirang of Davao Oriental’s 1st District continues to uphold an impressive performance rating of 66.7 percent.

Rep. Alan Dujali, of Davao del Norte’s 2nd District, obtained a 65.8 percent rating from his constituents. Despite the 1.4 percent decrease, his rating remains favorable.

Underlining the significance of such assessments, Dr. Paul Martinez of the RPMD said that regular evaluations are crucial to ensuring that district representatives fulfill their roles and responsibilities effectively.

The House of Representatives Public Satisfaction survey for the Davao Region was an integral component of the national “RPMD’s Boses ng Bayan” poll, conducted between June 25 and July 5 this year.
