Rape suspect nabbed in Batangas
POLICE arrested the most wanted person for rape after serving of a warrant of arrest at his home Tuesday in Nasugbu, Batangas.
Police Major Mark John M. Gatdula, Nasugbu Municipal Police Station chief, identified the arrested suspect as Manuel Bautista Jr., 38, married, security guard, and residing in Dalampasigan Compound, Bgy. Bucana.
Gatdula said the suspect is tagged as the No. 2 most wanted man in the region. He allegedly hid for one year after being charged with rape.
Bautista was nabbed at around 3:40 p.m. by Nasugbu MPS Intel Operative led by PSSg Garry E. Felicisimo.
Bautista was collared on the strength of a warrant of arrest for rape and lascivious conduct issued against him by RTC Judge Wilhelmina B. Go-Santiago, of Fourth Branch 14IN Nasugbu with bail recommended of P200,000 for the rape charge and P150,000 for the lascivious conduct case.
