
9 victims rescued from sex trade in Pampanga
Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Nine victims of human trafficking, mostly minors, who were allegedly engaged in the illegal sex trade were rescued on Tuesdsy while two suspects were arrested in an entrapment in Angeles City.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon said members of the Angeles City police conducted the operation in front of 7/11 (Crossing) in Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City.
The operation resulted in the arrest of Kathlen Camus Mayam and her live-in partner John Karlo Victoria Guiao, both of Purok 4 in Bgy. Pampang and the rescue of nine victims, six of them minors.
The two suspects will be charged with violation of RA 10364 and RA 7610 or the anti-human trafficking law.
De Leon lauded the successful operation that strongly sent a message the Central police sternly implements its operations to curb all forms of criminality in the region.
