QCPD seizes P3M marijuana in buy-bust

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives of the Quezon City Police District arrested a drug suspect who yielded P3,000,000 worth of marijuana in a buy-bust operation Thursday morning in Brgy. Old Capitol Site, Quezon City.

PMAJ Wennie Ann Cale, Officer-in-Charge of the QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), identified the arrested suspect as Joseph Ang, 22, resident of Brgy. 172, Caloocan City, and listed as Regional Priority Target Drug Personality.

A report showed a buy-bust operation was set against the suspect at about 8:30 a.m. on November 18, 2021 along Elliptical Road, Brgy. Old Capitol Site, Quezon City after receiving a tip regarding his illegal drug peddling activities.

The suspect was nabbed after a poseur buyer bought P50,000 worth of marijuana from him.

Seized from the suspect were 25 kilograms of marijuana valued at P3,000,000, the buy-bust money, a black bag, and a green eco bag. The suspect will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
