PNP HAS NEW COMPTROLLER
BRIGADIER General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. on Wednesday was designated as the new Philippine National Police Director for Comptrollership vice newly-retired Major Gen. Jesus D. Cambay Jr.
The PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management headed by Major Gen. Robert T. Rodriguez issued the order designating Nartatez as the new head of the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership following the retirement of Maj. Gen. Cambay, a classmate of PNP chief, General Rodolfo S. Azurin from Philippine Military Academy ‘Makatao’ Class of 1989.
Brig. Gen. Nartatez, the last member of PMA ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992 who will retire from the police force—his 56th birthday will be on March 19, 2027—was replaced as Police Regional Office 4-A director in Calabarzon region by Brig. Gen. Carlito M. Gaces, a member of PNP Academy Class 1995.
Brig. Gen. Gaces will retire from the police service this coming October 15. He was replaced as Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the PRO1 in Ilocos-Pangasinan region by its former Deputy Regional Director for Operations, Colonel Antonio P. Marallag Jr.
Col. Marallag is one of the youngest members of PNPA Class 1994 in the police force. He will retire on May 18, 2027.
