PDEA smashes Surigao del Norte ‘drug den’, arrest 3
AN alleged drug den in Placer, Surigao del Norte was smashed by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency following a raid which led to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of an estimated P115,000 worth of shabu, PDEA chair, Director General Moro Virgilio M. Lazo said Sunday.
Arrested during the early evening Tuesday raid in Purok 1 Cagbantoy in Barangay Amoslog, Placer were suspected two suspected maintainers and their visitor.
The PDEA chief said members of the PDEA Regional Office 13 and the Placer Municipal Police Station were involved in the operation which resulted in the confiscation of four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 17 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ valued at PP115,000 and various drug paraphernalia.
The raid followed a buy-bust operation which led to the arrest of one of the two drug den maintainers who sold shabu to an undercover officer. The marked money was also recovered from the possession of the suspect.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
