MORE than P200,000 worth of illegal drugs and ammunition were seized by agents of the Police Regional Office 1 inside a house in Alaminos City in Pangasinan which they raided on Sunday, PRO1 director Brig. Gen.l Lou F. Evangelista announced yesterday.

Confiscated inside the target house in Bgy. Palamis in Alaminos City were 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 30 grams of suspected shabu worth at least P204,000, a plastic packet containing five grams of dried marijuana leaves valued at P600, 17 live 9mm ammunition, a cal. .45 magazine with seven bullets and six cal. .38 live ammunition, the official said.

Also seized by the raiders were four plastic sachets and a strip of aluminum foil containing suspected shabu residue, two improvised tooters, one tube pipe and two improvised disposable lighters.

Brig. Gen. Evangelista said members of the Alaminos City Police Station, the 1st Pangasinan Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office on Tuesday last week stormed the house on the strength of a search warrant for illegal drugs and firearms and ammunition issued by Judge Marlon Meneses of the Alaminos City Regional Trial Court Branch 55.

The main target of the raid, a 46-year-old jobless man, was not around during the search and is still being hunted by the local police.

The PRO1 director said that the suspect will be facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013 before a local court.
