P1.3-M drugs seized in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Two drug suspects on Sunday yielded at least P1.3 million worth of shabu in an entrapment operation in Bulacan.

In a report to Police Regional Office director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Bulacan police commander Col. Relly Arnedo identified the suspects as “Elmer” and “Lara,” who were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Guiguinto police in Bgy. Poblacion, Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Arnedo said seized from the duo were six medium-sized plastic sachets and one small plastic sachet containing shabu, with a total weight of 202.36 grams valued at P1,376,000, and the buy-bust money.

The two suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Hidalgo said the PRO3 remains steadfast in its commitment to eradicating the spread of illegal drugs in the region.

“Operations like this one demonstrate our firm dedication to safeguarding communities and preventing the distribution of harmful substances, “Hidalgo added.
