P680K shabu seized, 3 fall in QC buy-bust
OPERATIVES of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Fairview Police Station (PS 5) arrested a regional drug priority target and his two cohorts who yielded P680,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation Tuesday night in Quezon City.
PLt.Col. Joewie Lucas, PS 5 commander, identified the suspects as Melanie David, 36, resident of No. 26B Sto. Cristo, Balintawak, Quezon City, and listed as Regional Drug Priority Target; John Carlo Yturralde, 22, resident of Gomez St., Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City; and Belen Marie Ayaquil, 21, resident of Batanes St., Sampaloc, Manila.
The suspects were reportedly arrested at about 10:10 p.m. of November 16, 2021 on Winston St. corner Commonwealth Ave., Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City after a Confidential Informant reported to PS 5 about the illegal drug peddling activities of the suspects.
Seized from the suspects were more or less 100 grams of shabu amounting to P680,000, a cellular phone, and a sky blue MXI Yamaha motorcycle.
The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
