As we continue our Easter Reflection, allow me to share some of my #kasabihansakamalayan poems for this liturgical season. I believe that our continued contemplation for Easter will allow us to make sense of personal experiences in relation to oneself, others, and the conditions that shaped our spiritual journey … to reimagine our material/experience for future personal, social and faith benefit.

EASTER reminds us that …
In the midst of suffering there is victory.
In the midst of death there is life.
In the midst of persecution there is justice.
In the midst of betrayal there is loyalty.
In the midst of trials there is hope.
In the midst of hatred there is love.
In the midst of power there is service
In the midst of false accusations there is truth
And in the midst of the sin there is salvation.

Silence the Mind from the Noise Negativity.
Silence the Eyes from the Noise of Envy.
Silence the Ears from the Noise of Gossip.
Silence the Mouth from the Noise of Hurtful Words.
Silence the Hands from the Noise of Inflicting Pain.
Silence the Feet from the Noise of Careless Wandering.
Silence the Heart from the Noise of Hatred.
And Silence the Soul from the Noise of Sin.

BE STILL AND BE SILENT.

Crossing the FEAR of the UNKNOWN,
Leads to the path of DISCOVERY.
Crossing the FEAR of leaving our COMFORT ZONE,
Leads to the path of PERSONAL GROWTH.
Crossing the FEAR of REJECTION,
Leads to the path of NEW FOUND RELATIONSHIPS.
Crossing the FEAR of PAIN AND SUFFERING,
Leads to the path of STRENGTH.
Crossing the FEAR of GOOD FRIDAY,
Leads to the path of EASTER SUNDAY.
And, Crossing the FEAR of DEATH,
Leads to the path of ETERNAL LIFE.

LIFE’S JOURNEY may be long and winding,
But it teaches us Patience.

LIFE’S JOURNEY may be difficult,
But it teaches us Persistence.

LIFE’S JOURNEY may be dangerous at times,
But it teaches us Courage.

LIFE’S JOURNEY may be confusing,
But it teaches us Wisdom.

LIFE’S JOURNEY may bring roadblocks,
But it teaches us Innovation.

And, LIFE’S JOURNEY may be discouraging,
But it teaches us Faith.

When a Door CLOSES it OPENS a Window.
A CLOSED relationship,

OPENS chances for more friendships.
A CLOSED work prospect,

OPENS chances for business undertakings.
A CLOSED idea or concept,

OPENS the possibility for innovation and growth.
A CLOSED fondly watched TV series,

OPENS the possibility of new exciting shows.
And a CLOSED life lived,

OPENS a legacy for others to emulate and follow.

PLANT the seeds of LOVE,
And HARVEST the fruits EMPOWERMENT.

PLANT the seeds of HOPE,
And HARVEST the fruits of POSITIVITY.

PLANT the seeds of CHARITY,
And HARVEST the fruits of CAMARADERIE.

PLANT the seeds of WISDOM,
And HARVEST the fruits of ENLIGHTENMENT.

PLANT the seeds of FORTITUDE,
And HARVEST the fruits of UPRIGHTNESS.

PLANT the seeds of JUSTICE,
And HARVEST the fruits FAIRNESS.

PLANT the seeds of FAITH,
And HARVEST the fruits of HOLINESS.
