Philip Morris International (PMI) and PMFTC Inc. leaders, accompanied by top government dignitaries, formally opened the new P8.8 billion or US$150 million Smoke-Free Products Facility in Tanauan City, Batangas. This will house manufacturing lines to produce the specially designed heated tobacco sticks BLENDS for BONDS by IQOS. PMI CEO Jacek Olczak said the facility opening “signifies another significant milestone in our commitment to a smoke-free Philippines” and is “a testament to our confidence in the Philippine economy and the local tobacco farming industry.
