Navotas hopes to have zero COVID on Xmas
FROM the previous three active COVID-19 cases posted on Saturday, the Navotas City Government posted another one on Sunday making a total of four active cases.
Mayor Toby Tiangco, however, expressed confidence the number will gradually diminish and will hopefully become zero on Christmas Day as long as residents don’t get complacent and will always observe health and safety protocols.
Tiangco said the Navotas City Health Office reported that only Barangay NBBS Dagat-Dagatan posted one additional active COVID-19 case on Sunday.
NBBS Dagat-dagatan have two active cases of COVID-19 while a single case each was reported in Barangay Bagumbayan South and Barangay San Jose.
As of Monday, cases of COVID-19 in Navotas have reached a total of 17,637, 17,088 have been fully recovered, recorded a total of 545 deaths and presently only 4 active cases.
“Sa mga hindi pa po nakapagpabakuna, bukas po ang ating vaccination sites na nagbibigay ng Astrazeneca o Janssen sa mga gustong magwalk in. Kung Pfizer, kailangan pong magpa-schedule sa https://covax.navotas.gov.ph/,” Tiangco said on his Facebook account.
