Navotas cops seize P68K shabu in buy-bust
AUTHORITIES confiscated around P68,000 worth of illegal drugs from two arrested drug “peddlers” in a buy-bust operation Thursday before dawn in Navotas City.
Navotas Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) head P/Capt. Luis Rufo said one suspect, of St. Barangay Tangos-North, and another of Bgy. Bangkulasi yielded more or less ten grams of shabu following their arrest at around 12:15 a.m. along Judge Roldan St. Bgy. San Roque.
The planned buy-bust operation, according to Rufo, was conducted after more than a week of monitoring and discreet surveillance operation against the suspects in relation to S.A.F.E. NCRPO following information they received from confidential police asset about the illegal drug transactions perpetrated by the duo.
Rufo said they immediately collared the suspects when they handed a plastic sachet containing shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 marked money.
The seized illegal drugs placed in seven plastic sachets, including the subject of buy-bust, were submitted to PNP-NPD Forensic Unit for quantitative and qualitative analysis while the arrested suspects were placed under the custodial facility of the Navotas Police Station pending their presentation to the Inquest Prosecutor for the inquest proceedings.
