More than P10M worth of Ecstacy found in parcel found in Belgium
Cavite —– A woman personally surrendered the parcel she received from Belgium which allegedly contained more than P10 million worth of Ecstacy placed inside canned goods on January 20, 2023 in Bgy. Burol 1, Dasmarinas, Cavite.
In a statement to the police on January 20, then woman said she allegedly received a text message from the Post Office regarding a parcel that was had to be picked up on the same day.
The woman claimed the parcel and when she arrived home, she discovered that it contained canned goods and biscuits. She was surprised to see Ecstasy pills inside one of the cans. She immediately reported to the incident to barangay officials who contacted the Dasmarinas police.
The authorities together with the Regioanal Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 4A, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Cavite PPO, PDEA 4A, PDEG-SOU 4 found the parcel to contain more than 6,266 tablets of Ecstacy with an estimated value of P10,652,200.
Cops are investigating the incident and coordination with the Postal Office where the parcel was claimed.
