MC driver killed, another hurt in collision
A 49-YEAR-OLD driver was killed while another was seriously injured when their motorcycles collided along Bgy. Talahib Pandayan Road, Batangas City at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Batangas City police identified the fatality as Fernando Avila y Anyayahan, married, and resident of Bgy. Talahib Pandayan, Batangas City.
Case officers Doni Irvin Casayuran and Pat. Ryan Del Rosario’s initial investigation showed a Yamaha Mio registered to Geron Ebora of Caloocan City, NCR, and driven by Ariston Comia, 22, single, jobless, resident of the same village was seen traversing along Bgy. Talahib Pandayan road and heading towards Lobo town when it accidentally collided with a Yamaha motorcycle bearing plate number 3421 driven by Avila which was then traveling from the opposite direction.
Both drivers were rushed to the Lobo District Hospital where Avila was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dra. Mariel Rivera at 7 p.m. Comia is still undergoing medical treatment.
