Water1AS part of the company’s service improvement program for Rizal customers, Manila Water is set to finish the construction of the P45-million Darangan Pipe Bridge project in Binangonan, Rizal, this May.

This 800-mm steel pipe bridge system spanning 26 linear meters along Manila East Service Road will improve water access to over 20,000 households in Angono, Binangonan, Cainta, Taytay, and some areas in Pasig City once operational.

The said pipelaying project, which started in November 2023, is designed to reinforce existing supply connections, and benefit residential, commercial, and industrial customers in these rapidly developing areas.

Crucial to the completion of the project is the deployment of cutting-edge boring machines facilitating the seamless interconnection of new pipes to the existing one.

“Service improvement and expansion projects, such as the Darangan Pipe Bridge, support the company’s efforts to provide better service to customers outside the central distribution area,” Manila Water’s Corporate Communications Affairs Group Director Jeric Sevilla said.

To date, the East Zone concessionaire has laid and maintained over 5,400 kilometers water network serving over 7.6 million customers in the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal.
