Laborer stabs drinking buddy in Tanuan City
A DRUNK construction worker stabbed to death a man after a drinking session in Poblacion 6, Tanauan City, Batangas.
Tanauan City Police said the victim was identified with the alias “Barungoy”.
The suspect, a construction worker, is a native of Guinangan, Quezon, according to the local police.
A barangay official reported the incident to the police and immediately dispatched personnel.
Investigation showed that before the said incident, the suspect was having a drinking spree with others when the victim, who was also drunk, arrived.
After a few minutes, the victim fell asleep on a sofa.
Moments later, without provocation, the suspect stabbed the victim several times, hitting different parts of the body, police learned.
The victim was immediately brought to Laurel Memorial District Hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect was later arrested by responding police.
