Iloilo Mayor Jerry Treñas (2nd, from left) was conferred by the Supreme Council of the Knights of Rizal the Honorary rank of ‘Knight Grand Officer of Rizal’ (KGOR), the second highest degree in the order of the Knights of Rizal (KOR). The Knights of Rizal is a patriotic, nationalistic, and chivalric fraternal organization signed into law in 1951 and was created to honor and uphold the ideals of the national hero, Jose Rizal.
