MANILA Mayor Maria Sheila “Honey” Lacuna expressed her elation over the arrival of the international cruise ship “Silver Spirit” at the Manila South Harbor last week after more than two-year hiatus due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said this is just another sign that the country is open to foreign visitors who want to see the beauty of the Philippine Island.

The mayor said the city government is doing its best to encourage tourist passengers of international cruise ship to stay longer in Manila and visit different places in the country.

The city chief executive also called on Manilenos to keep the environment clean and orderly in such a manner that travelers in the city will noticed the massive change of the nation’s capital, far from trouble and hardship, while implementing peace and order.

Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco welcomed the arrival of the international cruise ship Silver Spirit last Feb. 15, with more than 500 foreign tourists who were greeted by local artists and musicians at the Eva Macapagal Super Terminal in Manila South Harbor.
