Farmer collared, arms recovered in Apayao

POLICE Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) operatives arrested a farmer for possession of several illegal firearms on Monday, PRO-COR Director PBGen. Ronald Oliver Lee said Wednesday.

PBGen. Lee identified the suspect as Marcos Bergonia Ragutero, 4, of Malaguyan, Flora, Apayao.

During the implementation of a search warrant, operatives seized a 12 GA Homemade Shotgun; 12GA Shotgun Branded with New Cobra; a converted .22 UZI Type; a converted .22 rifle; 12GA shotgun magazine; two .22 caliber magazines; .45 caliber magazine; 12 .45 cal live ammos; 14 12 GA shotgun live ammos; and 37 .22 caliber live ammos from the suspect’s residence.

An onsite inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were done in the presence of the barangay kagawad Dominga C. Agcaoili and Evangeline M. Pilotin,

Ragutero and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Flora MPS for documentation and proper disposition while charges for violation of Comprehensive Law on firearms and ammunitions Regulation Act (RA 10591) is being prepared against the suspect.
