CL drug ops net 12; over P600K shabu seized

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – As Central Luzon police intensify its anti-illegal drug campaign under the directives of PRO (Police Regional Office) 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., authorities apprehended 12 drug suspects and seized P633,200.00 worth of illegal drugs in separate operations in the region.

One buy-bust operation conducted by the Sta. Ana police and other units in Barangay San Roque, Sta. Ana, Pampanga resulted in the arrest of a “high-value target” (HVT) who yielded three plastic sachets of marijuana, one brick of marijuana weighing 660.4 grams valued at P79,000, one cal. 38 revolver with three live bullets, a weighing scale, and marked money.

Also in Pampanga, four suspects were arrested by the Mabalacat City police in South Daang-Bakal, Dau and confiscated six plastic sachets of shabu valued at P204,000 and two P1,000 marked bills.

Members of the Olongapo police CPDEU launched an entrapment operation in Lower Sibul, Bgy. West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City, which led to the arrest of a primary drug suspect and his cohort.

They were caught with four plastic sachets of shabu worth P115,600 and the buy-bust money.

Another suspected “drug pusher” of Esteban St., Bgy. New Ilalim, Olongapo City, was nabbed in a buy-bust at her house, where she yielded seven plastic sachets of shabu valued at P227,800 and marked money.

In Bulacan, one suspect was arrested by the San Jose del Monte City police in a drug operation at Sapang Lamig, Bgy. Minuyan Proper and yielded 15 plastic sachets of shabu worth P122,400 and the buy-bust money.

All arrested suspects will be charged with violation of RA (Republic Act) 9165.

Hidalgo commended his men, saying with the arrest and neutralization of illegal drug suspects, illegal drug traders “will have less opportunity to propagate in the region.”
