CAVITE CITY – Around 700 families affected by the massive fire that struck the “Quadra” in Barangays 22A, 22M, and 28 received financial assistance from the office of Cavite 1st District Congressman Jolo Revilla, local social welfare department, Cavite City Mayor Denver Chua, and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office over the weekend.

Each family received P10,000 from the office of Revilla and DSWD under Secretary Rex Gatchalian as an aid to start anew again.

The Cavite City Council, led by Vice Mayor Raleigh Rusit, passed and approved City Resolution No. 2023-049 for financial assistance for the fire victims during the special session held on April 27 at the request of Mayor Chua.

The local government allotted P30,000 cash aid for each family affected by the incident.

“Our local government of the city of Cavite will have a comprehensive management and strategy in helping the victims when it comes to financial, medical, and basic needs so that they can recover properly and quickly,” Mayor Chua said in an interview.

The Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the City Social Welfare and Development Office will also release funds for additional financial assistance for fire victims.
