THE City Government of Caloocan officially issued the very first Safety Seal Certification to SM Center Sangandaan being awarded to public and private establishments that complied to the minimum public health standards set amid the pandemic.

The awarding, led by City Administrator Eng. Oliver Hernandez who represents Mayor Osca “Oca” Malapitan, was attended by DTI Undersecretary Ireneo Vismonte, DILG NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes Agustin, DILG Caloocan Director Marco Cabueños, Caloocan Business Permit and Licensing Office head Atty. Cho Vergara, Caloocan PNP chief Col. Samuel Mina, BFP Caloocan Chief Inspector Bernard Batnag Jr. and SM Malls Assistant VP for Operations North 5 and 6 Ms. Ana Datu.

The Safety Seal is being awarded to public and privateestablishments that complied with the minimum public heatlh standards set by the national government, including the use of StaySafe.PH App, the official health condition reporting and contact tracing app in the country.

In his messge, Mayor Oca said Safety Seal Certification is important for a private establishments to make people confident that the business premises is safe and in compliance to the minimum health protocols

The city chief executive also extended his appreciation to the management of SM Center Sangandaan which also served as a regular mass vaccination site in Caloocan

“Sa ganitong panahon, kailangan po natin magtulungan upang maibigay sa ating mamamayan ang ligtas na kapaligiran nang sa gayon ay kahit paunti-untj ay makabangon ang ating ekonomiya at bumalik tayo sa normal na sitwasyon tulad ng dati,” Mayor Oca said in his message.

Public establishments may apply for the Safety Seal Certification program by online through the website safetyseal.ncr.dilg.gov.ph while for private establishments, representative may submit their application to the City Business Permit and Licensing Office or call its number at 8288-88-11 local 2217.
