Batangas PNP SACLEO nets 323 felons

CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas — At least 323 individuals including one member of a criminal and drug group were arrested in a week-long Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of the Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) headed by Director, PCOL Glicerio C. Cansilao from May 19 to 25, Police Public Information Office OIC P/Lt Mary Anne De Villa Espina said.

In this campaign against wanted persons, 73 were arrested based on warrants of arrest, with six of them in the most wanted persons (MWP) of the region, five MWPs at the provincial level and 26 MWPs in the city and municipal level.

Meanwhile, a member of the Gonzales Criminal Group and Perculiza Drug Group identified as Ernesto Gomez Jr. y Armamento alias Toti, 40, businessman, a resident of Sitio Itlugan, Bgy. Cuta, Batangas City was nabbed during the implementation of a search warrant by Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIB-BPPO) operatives at 4:45 a.m. last May 19 in the said area.

The suspect was found in possession of ammunition, three packets of suspected shabu and a caliber .38 revolver without a serial number.

A total of 126 drug personalities were caught during the serving of search warrants and buy-bust operations, where 63.92 grams of shabu and 85.65 grams of marijuana with a total value of P441, 694 were confiscated in the week-long operation.

Also, 111 people were caught in the operations against illegal gambling including the illegal numbers game, video racing, fruit game and illegal tupada.

Thirteen people were also caught with unlicensed firearms.

“Our police will continue their efforts to maintain peace and order in our province. We continue to rely on the support of our people because you are the ones who can help our police the most to achieve such accomplishments,” Cansilao said.
