CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas — The Batangas Police Provincial Office headed by PCol. Rex Arvin T. Malimban, Provincial Director, has upgraded its Pulis Calabarzon “Kapwa Ko Sagot Ko” Program to “Barangayanihan” sa Panahon ng Pandemya which consistently promotes the spirit of bayanihan amid COVID-19 pandemic.

The “Barangayanihan” is being set up by local police stations in different barangays every day.

Since April 21, 2021, the Batangas PPO thru Police Community and Affairs Development Unit (PCADU) has set up a total of 168 pantries in different cities and municipalities of Batangas wherein a total of 6,264 families benefited from the said program.

The highlights of the said program were the help extended to COVID-19 residents of Sitio Tramo, Barangay Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City.

A total of 24 residents have received packs of rice, groceries, and vitamins during the house-to-house visit of PCADU personnel together with Silver Peak Group of Companies Foundation headed by Pauline P. Bondad.

“We have listened to and respected the needs of our “kababayan” during this time of pandemic and translated those into actions that will help us achieve the desired outcome, a fulfillment that makes our police and community happy. So, being useful is being kind, a simple act that brings PNP and community closer towards a meaningful and purposeful life amid COVID-19 pandemic”, said Malimban.
